1. Willis Tower

Willis Tower (formerly known as Willis Tower or Sears Tower) is a skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. This building is the tallest building in the United States since 1973 after defeating the height of World Trade Center. Earlier, the World Trade Center is the tallest building in the U.S. for a year after the Empire State Building surpassed in the same city, New York City. Sears Tower was built retail conglomerate Sears, Roebuck and Company. Designers is the chief architect Bruce Graham and structural engineer Fazlur Khan of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.

Construction began in August 1970, and reached a maximum height of the building as planned on May 3, 1973. When completed, the height of the Sears Tower surpassed the World Trade Center in New York City, and became the tallest building in the world. This building consists of 108 floors, but the building owners count the roof as the ground floor of 109, and the very top that contains mechanical equipment as floor 110. Height of the building until the roof is 442 m, calculated from the entrance to the east. In February 1982, two television antennas mounted on top of the building so that the height of the tower was increased to 520 m. Then on June 5, 2000, on the west side of the antenna is extended to 527 m to improve reception of local television station WMAQ-TV which is a member of the NBC television network.

2. Trump International Hotel and Tower

Trump International Hotel and Tower, also known as the Trump Tower or Trump Tower Chicago, is a condo-hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Skyscraper is named after the property developer Donald Trump. This building was designed by architect Adrian Smith. High tower was recorded approximately 1.389 feet (423 m), with a total floor as much as 98 floors.

3. Empire State Building

The Empire State Building or the Empire State Building is a skyscraper that features 102 floors in New York City with Art Deco style. The building was designed by Shreve, Lamb and Harmon and finished in 1931. Named after the nickname of the state of New York. Since the collapse of World Trade Center on September 11 attacks, this building again became the tallest building in New York City. Today, this building is the second tallest building in the United States after the Willis Tower in Chicago.

4. Bank of America Tower

Bank of America Tower is a skyscraper tower height of 1,200 ft (366 m), standing at One Bryant Park in the district of Midtown Manhattan, New York City. This building project will cost U.S. $ 1 billion, with Cook + Fox Architects designers that make this building as one of the most efficient building and environmentally friendly in the world. This building is the second tallest building in New York City, after the Empire State Building, and the fourth tallest building in the United States. Construction completed in 2009. In June 2010, Bank of America Tower award recipients Best Tall Buildings 2010 in the United States of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

5. Aon Center

Aon Center is a modern skyscraper in Chicago Loop, Chicago, Illinois, United States, which was designed by architect firms Edward Durell Stone and The Perkins & Will Partners, and was completed in 1973 as Standard Oil Building with 83 floors and 1136 feet high achieving (346 m). Aon Center is the third tallest building in Chicago, after Willis Tower and Trump International Hotel and Tower. The building is managed by Jones Lang LaSalle. Aon is also the headquarters of Aon Corporation.
